Walking into the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas made me feel like a rock star, so I wanted to make sure I left looking like one too. Determined, I headed straight to Reliquary Water Sanctuary & Spa, which is the perfect place to slip away from the crazy Vegas lifestyle and just relax.
During my visit to the spa I was lucky enough to experience the Pumpkin Paradise Facial. This facial is a seasonal treatment the spa is offering to their guests for a limited time. As it was described: “Pumpkin and yam enzymes work together to reduce fine lines, leaving your skin with a natural and healthy glow. A great source of vitamins, this anti-aging service is great for all skin types.”
At the base of this fall-themed facial was a peel made from yam & pumpkin enzymes. After a short consult from my esthetician Dana and a release form, I was ready to get my peel on…and then quickly off! Dana only kept the peel on for the standard two minutes, which was just about all I could handle. I loved that I could feel the tingling from the enzymes because it let me know the peel was working, however if you are not use to enzyme peels the feeling can get a little overwhelming.
After the peel, my facial continued with the normal routine of steam, extraction, massage and light moisturizer (with SPF! Imperative after any peel!) The entire experience was fantastic and I left with my skin feeling and looking just like a rock star’s. (I’d like to say I signed some autographs on the way out, but we won’t go that far.)
Overall, I would definitely recommend the Pumpkin Paradise Facial. Just be careful if you have sensitive skin or are sensitive to pain, because although the peel isn’t necessarily painful, it is not quite pleasant either. The results however, are extremely worth it! Also be on the lookout for some candy cane themed treatments coming up from the Reliquary Water Sanctuary & Spa!
